Montoya walks away with the Steve Mortimer Rookie of the Year award

Fiji Bati wing Marcelo Montoya has walked away with the Steve Mortimer Rookie of the Year award at the Canterbury Bulldogs awards ceremony.

The 21-year-old who is contracted with the Bulldogs until 2020 scored twelve tries this season.

In the NRL preliminary finals this week, the Broncos will take on the Panthers at 9.55pm Friday while the Eels will take on the Cowboys at 9.40pm Saturday.
