Nasinu Secondary School and Ballantine Memorial School have retained their titles at the 2017 Coca-Cola Suva Zone 1 Athletics competition.

BMS won the Girls Division with 16 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze while Nasinu Secondary School won the Boys Division with 13 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze.

RSMS Sprinter Rusiate Rasigatale won the Senior boys 100 and 200 metres events.

A major brawl also affected the flow of events at the Suva Zone 1 yesterday with police intervening to control the situation at the ANZ Stadium.

More than 100 students from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School and John Wesley College were involved in the brawl.

Meanwhile, the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 2 Athletics competition will be held at the ANZ Stadium today.

Marist Brothers High School and Suva Grammar School are the defending champions.

The top athlete to look out for at the Suva Zone 2 is Joseva Tabakaucoro of Marist Brothers High School.

He broke the 100 and 200 metres Marist inter house records previously held by his brother, Banuve Tabakaucoro.
