The Brisbane Broncos have suffered a blow to their premiership aspirations with the news that Vodafone Fiji Bati prop Korbin Sims will miss the rest of the season with a fractured arm.
The injury occurred in the second half of Brisbane's 52‑34 loss to the Parramatta Eels on Thursday night, and although it was initially thought his harm had just suffered a deep muscle bruise scans yesterday revealed a fracture to his bone.
The 25‑year‑old's recovery time is six weeks meaning that even if the Broncos go on a run to the grand final, he would still be a week away from returning.
Meanwhile with six weeks left to the Battle of the Bati, Sims has not confirmed if he will still be available for the Rugby League World Cup in October.
Looking at the NRL results last night, the Raiders thrashed the Knights 46-28 while the Cowboys beat the Wests Tigers 22-14.
Tonight, the Titans will face the Bulldogs at 5pm, the Storm will take on the Rabbitohs at 8pm while the Sharks will face the Roosters at 9.30pm.
