The Nadi Airport primary school student Esther Reece is at the center of attention in the Western division of the FMF Chow Kaji rugby tournament.
Reece who is a class two student, playing at halfback is the first ever female to play in the primary school rugby competition, as she helped her Nadi One side beat Navosa by 12-0 and reach the final of the under 9 division.
Speaking to Village sports, Esther's sister Rosy Reece said her younger sister has a potential of becoming a good rugby player.
Esther Reece's elder brother Sevoloni Reece who plays for Nadi One side in the under 10 division will also play in the final today after they defeated Navosa 19-0 in the semis while the under 11 final will be between Lautoka and Nadi One.
Meanwhile in the Southern division Suva Blues is through to the finals in the under 9, under 10, under 11 and under 12 grades. Other schools to feature in the final will be CBM Sharks, Nasinu Highlanders and Tailevu Knights.
