The Fiji Pearls have secured test matches with the Silver Ferns, Samoa, Singapore and the New Zealand Men’s netball team ahead of the World Cup in July 2019.

Fiji Pearls head Coach Vicki Wilson has confirmed that the Pearls have begun strength and conditioning training in preparation for the Netball World Cup.

Wilson also highlighted that trials for the Pearls Squad will be  held on the 26th of next month adding that following these trials she will have a clear indication of who is making themselves available for World Cup Selection.

She has stressed that more details on the scheduled tests will be released after the squad selection following the trials next month.

The Fiji Pearls qualified for the Netball World Cup 2019 following their 55-34 victory over Papua New Guinea in the Oceania Regional Qualifier in April this year.

This is the sixth consecutive Netball World Cup that Fiji has qualified for.

The Fiji Pearls have been drawn in Group C in the pool stage of the Netball World Cup 2019 with Jamaica, South Africa and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Pearls are ranked 14th in the latest rankings of the International Netball Federation.

The 2019 Netball World Cup will be held from the 12‑ 21 July 2019 in Liverpool, England.
