Savusavu man, Tolu Young has set a new Fiji record and personal best at the US Open Swim Championships in the 100 metre butterfly event.
Young's time is 55.27 seconds.
The 19-year-old is the first ever Fijian swimmer to make it to the US Open Championships Men's 50 metres freestyle finals.
Young qualified for the finals after being placed 6th in the final line-up.
He also beat US swimming sprint superstar, Caeleb Dressel.
Young has two more events remaining, which include the 50 metre butterfly and the 100 metre freestyle.
