TikToker XKON sentenced to 8 months imprisonment, suspended for 2 years
TikToker Lui Bale Vuibureta, also known as XKON, has been sentenced to 8 months imprisonment, suspended for 2 years.

He appeared before Suva High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar this morning. 

Justice Goundar has also ordered Vuibureta to pay a fine of $1,000 within 1 month and if he defaults payment, he will serve 3 months imprisonment cumulative on any other sentence he may be serving. 

Vuibureta is charged with one count of causing harm by posting an electronic communication after making derogatory remarks against the Minister for Information, Lynda Tabuya during a TikTok livestream.

He had pleaded guilty to the charges.
