The Nadi Weather Office has confirmed to fijivillage News that this update is part of their regional weather bulletin.
They say there is nothing for Fijians to worry about.
Meanwhile, TD01F will soon be officially named.
The Weather Office says the system is already producing strong, gusty winds on its eastern side, which are expected to affect parts of French Polynesia within the next 12 hours.
