Nadi Police have confirmed that water levels in both the Nawaka and Nadi rivers have receded, and they are continuing to monitor conditions in line with the advice from the Nadi Weather Office.

No casualties were recorded during the strong winds and heavy rain that swept through Nadi yesterday.

They add that seven evacuation centres remain occupied this morning.

They also express gratitude to the public for acting responsibly as Tropical Cyclone Vaianu passed through.

Police also confirm that the floodwaters have receded and fallen trees have been cleared from roads, including in Votualevu and other parts of Nadi.
