Police arrest 14 drivers, including 17-year-old, for drink-driving

A total of 14 drivers, including a 17-year-old, were arrested last night for drink-driving along the Namaka-Nadi corridor.

The arrests were made by the Traffic Enforcement Unit, with another team operating in the Suva area.

According to Police, 11 drivers were arrested from the 320 who underwent random breath tests along the Namaka to Nadi corridor.

In Suva, three drivers were arrested from the 38 who were tested.

Of the 14 drivers arrested last night, five were provisional licence holders, three were Public Service Vehicle (PSV) drivers, and six were Group 2 licence holders.
