FRA installing culverts on by-pass route near Semo Village

FRA installing culverts on by-pass route near Semo Village

People will have to wait until later today for the Fiji Roads Authority to complete works on the by-pass route near Semo Village along Queens Highway as they are currently installing culverts.

They say they are compiling and punching in boulders on the soft areas that had been affected by the heavy rain.

FRA says in the meantime, traffic has been diverted via Nadiri Road before the affected site, through Sanasana Village, then towards Veisabasaba Village, linking past Tuva Indian School and reconnecting to Queens Road.

FRA says cars and light goods vehicles are being guided by their team through this detour.

They say buses and heavy vehicles are not accessing this route.

For buses, however, there is a changeover method implemented whereby passengers cross over onto the other side to board the bus.
