Seventeen-year-old Tirisiana Dauveiqaravi has made her family proud after receiving her Year 12 External Exam results today.

While speaking to fijivillage News at the Examinations and Assessment Office in the Gohil Building, an overwhelmed Dauveiqaravi says she burst into tears and could hardly believe her marks.

Her success follows months of dedication and sacrifice.

She shares that she often woke up at 3am to study, balancing schoolwork with daily chores.

Dauveiqaravi has dedicated her achievement to her parents, Fane Tubuna and Savenaca Veiqaravi, and her grandfather, Filipe Katakata, saying his constant prayers and encouragement were her biggest motivation.

She is encouraging young people who may feel discouraged by their marks to not lose hope, work hard and stay positive.

She adds that every effort will pay off.

Laisani Samuaisue, who came to collect her nephew’s results says that despite losing both of his parents, Michael Talili performed exceptionally well in his exams.

Talili , who attended Marist Brothers High School, made significant sacrifices to succeed.

Samuaisue shared that he spent weekends in Kadavu, and all his studies and goals have paid off.

It was a double celebration for the family, as Samuaisue daughter, Litia Samuaisue, also received outstanding marks — with both students scoring over 300.

Samuaisue says the family is proud and grateful to celebrate both achievements together.

She also had a message for students who may be feeling discouraged to not lose hope.

She says there is always a chance to start again, and it's not bad to fail, it’s all part of learning.
