Chief of Operations, Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu

Chief of Operations, Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu says their team came across groups of youths and young children loitering and gathering mainly in the Southern and Central Division late into the night and into the early hours of the morning.

He says youths and children activities must be closely monitored at all times as they are vulnerable to influence that could impact their young lives and future.

ACP Driu further says they will continue to do their part in raising the issue as traffic snap checks and mobile and foot patrols were also conducted throughout the night.

While speaking on fijivillage Straight Talk with Vijay Narayan, ACP Livai Driu also highlighted that police will continue doing patrolling and community policing to address these issues.

He says the Police Force cannot deal with these issues alone therefore, they will work together with the other organizations and religious groups.
