A woman in her late 50s who was a passenger in a vehicle that allegedly veered off the road and crashed near Madhuvani Settlement along Kings Highway in Ra has passed away.
Six other passengers who were in the vehicle during the crash yesterday morning have been treated and sent home.
Police say the 26-year-old driver is in custody as investigations continue.
The road death toll currently stands at 10 compared to 18 for the same period last year.
