Wallabies test veteran halfback Nic White will lead the Western Force side for tonight’s clash against the British and Irish Lions as he was released alongside 5 of his teammates from the Wallabies squad that is preparing for the July test against the Fiji Water Flying Fijians and also the Lions.

The 5 other players released to play for the Force include Ben Donaldson, Nick Champion de Crespigny, Dylan Pietsch, Darcy Swain and Tom Robertson, who all have been named to start tonight.

Donaldson’s inclusion was a timely one as he replaces injured Kurtley Beale who was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Robertson shifts to loosehead prop, paving the way for one-Test Wallaby Ollie Hoskins to start on his unique return to the Force.

Swain solidifies the second row alongside Sam Carter, who is playing his final Force game, whilst Champion de Crespigny slots into the back row alongside Will Harris and Vaiolini Ekuasi.

In the back, Pietsch adds experience to the back three along with Donaldson and Mac Grealy.

Meanwhile, the Force has played the Lions once, losing 69-17 in 2013.

The Force will take on the Lions at 10pm tonight.
