We have got a tough legacy to live up to at the Olympics and we want to defend that legacy in Paris.

This was highlighted by Team Fiji Men’s Rugby 7s coach Osea Kolinisau while speaking from the Games Village in Paris.

Kolinisau says the legacy was created in Rio and Tokyo when the team won gold in those two Olympics and the players in camp now know what is on the line.

Kolinisau says it will be good to see that the gold medal in the men’s rugby 7s Olympics only belongs to Fiji and they are working really hard to keep that legacy going.

Fiji will face Uruguay at 3am Thursday in their first match, they will then take on the USA at 6.30am on the same day, before playing hosts France at 1.30am Friday in their final pool match. The Men’s quarter finals will kick off at 7am Friday.

There will be a break on Saturday for the official opening of the Paris Olympics 2024 before the competition resumes on Sunday.

The semi finals will kick off at 1.30am Sunday, and the final will be at 5.45am Sunday.
