Radio Sargam celebrates 22 years of unity, culture and loyal listenership

Radio Sargam is celebrating its 22nd anniversary, marking a journey of growth, resilience and strong connection with listeners across Fiji and abroad.

Sargam Content Director Sneh Chaudhry says the past 22 years have not been without challenges, but the station has continued to grow successfully with the support of its audience.

Chaudhry says Radio Sargam has consistently worked towards bringing people together, promoting unity and respect for all religions through its programming.

Chaudhry also highlights that many listeners, including those living alone or overseas, see Radio Sargam as a companion that keeps them connected to their roots and culture.

Communications Fiji Limited General Manager Charles Taylor acknowledged the strong team behind the station, including experienced radio personalities who joined from Navtarang.

Taylor says the team continues to deliver a traditional Hindi radio format that resonates with audiences, clients and community organisations.

He says Radio Sargam continues to play a key role in connecting Hindi-speaking communities while maintaining its cultural identity.

Meanwhile, Navtarang and Sargam Senior Content Director Satya Nand says they are already planning to take the station to another level.

He says with the continued support they are receiving; he is confident they will achieve their goals.
