We are here to claim Commonwealth Games gold – Gollings

As the excitement builds for the Commonwealth Games, the Fiji 7s team is feeling measured pressure as they bid to win a first Commonwealth 7s gold medal.

Coach Ben Gollings says they have got such a good group of players and there's actually less pressure on them to win.

But Gollings says they are there to claim the Commonwealth Games gold.

The Fiji men’s team will play Zambia at 12.02am Saturday.

Their second match is against Canada at 8.32am Saturday before they face Wales at 12.02am Sunday.

The quarter finals will start at 7.26am Sunday, the semifinals will be at 12.12am Monday while the Commonwealth Games 7s Gold Medal match will be at 8.26am on Monday 1st August.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s team will face Scotland at 8.22pm this Friday, they will meet South Africa in their second match at 4.30am Saturday before they face Australia at 8.22pm Saturday.

The semi finals will kick off at 6.42am Sunday while the women’s gold final will start at 8.04am Monday 1st August.
