The team is expecting a lift in intensity and physicality in this weekend’s game as we are entering finals rugby which is a different ball game altogether.

This was highlighted by Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Mick Byrne as they step up their preparations for this weekend’s Shop N Save Super Rugby quarter final clash against defending champions the Crusaders.

Byrne says the team is looking forward to lifting their performance this weekend knowing that the Crusaders will not be leaving any stones unturned and they will want to avenge their 25-24 loss to the Drua earlier this season.

He says the Crusaders will also be playing on their home turf and they will not want to disappoint their fans.

Byrne says the Drua have had some disappointments this season, but they will not want to let that get the better of them this weekend and they are well-prepared for whatever the Crusaders will throw at them.

The Fijian Drua will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday in Christchurch.

In other quarter finals, the Blues will host the Waratahs at 7.35pm tomorrow, the Chiefs will take on the Reds at 4.35pm Saturday and the Brumbies will play the Hurricanes at 9.35pm Saturday.
