We are confident to form new coalition government with PA and SODELPA – Prasad

Appointment of the PM has to come from the floor – Rabuka

SODELPA Leader Viliame Gavoka, NFP Leader Biman Prasad and People’s Alliance Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad says they are confident and optimistic to form the new coalition government with the People’s Alliance and SODELPA.

Professor Prasad says he is happy with the discussions that his team from NFP has had with the negotiation team from SODELPA.

Meanwhile, People’s Alliance Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka has stated that the appointment of the Prime Minister in their coalition government has to come from the floor.

Rabuka says their aim right now is to secure the cooperation of SODELPA, and he becomes the leader of the team.

The FijiFirst Party has not made any comments publicly however we have received confirmation that they met the SODELPA negotiation team at an undisclosed location in Suva yesterday.

FijiFirst Leader Voreqe Bainimarama and General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum have not made any public comments.
