Wainiqolo delivers top performance in Toulon's 30-17 win over Montpellier

Fiji Water Flying Fijians outside back Jiuta Wainiqolo was in top form for his Toulon side as he helped them to a 30-17 win over Montpellier in round 7 of the French Top 14 competition.

Wainiqolo started on the wing and scored a try in the dying stages of the second half to seal the win for Toulon.

The 25-year-old was hot in attack as he ran a total of 155 metres in 10 carries, made 2 clean line breaks and beat 19 defenders.

Meanwhile, Flying Fijians utility back Sireli Maqala also scored a try for his Bayonne side in their 32-15 win over Josua Tuisova’s Racing 92.

Maqala started at outside centre with Flying Fijians prop Luke Tagi coming off the bench for Bayonne in the second half while Tuisova started on the wing for Racing.

In other Top 14 matches in round 7, Perpignan edged Lyon 29-26, Castres defeated Stade Francais 35-13, Clermont thumped Vannes 55-33, Toulouse defeated Pau 22-14 and La Rochelle defeated Bordeaux 32-22.
