Multi-Ethnic Minister calls for unity in Easter message

On the occassion of Easter, Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs, Charan Jeath Singh has extended heartfelt wishes to all Fijians, calling the season a time of renewal, hope and reflection.
Singh says the occasion reflects values that unite the nation, including unity, compassion and resilience.
He says the resurrection of Jesus Christ serves as a reminder that even in the most challenging times, new beginnings are always possible.
Singh says Easter symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and encourages people to pause, reflect and seek peace amid life’s uncertainties.
He urged Fijians to rise above past challenges and embrace the future with faith, strength and optimism.
He also encouraged families to spend quality time together, especially with children, and to guide them in understanding the true meaning of Easter and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Singh further highlights global challenges, including the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, noting its impact on rising costs of commodities and fuel prices, which are affecting the cost of living in Fiji.
He urged Fijians to stand together in unity and support one another during these difficult times, especially as the country continues to rely heavily on imported goods.
The Minister adds that in moments of difficulty, Fijians should draw strength from the message of the resurrection and remain hopeful for better days ahead.
