Vuda Pigs took a massive hit with a loss of 60% of its sales due to the COVID-19 pandemic that virtually shut down the main customer, Fiji’s tourism industry.

The owner of Vuda Pigs, Simon Cole says they are combining their talents as they continue to find innovative ways to resolve pork market issues.

Cole says with the slow down in band business, they thought operating the shop would make sense and are lucky to have Inside Out as with Apakuki Nalawa leading the team, people may even get a song as they buy their pork.

He says with limited sales at supermarkets, the company took to the streets and social media with little hope of an immediate return of the tourism industry.

Cole says they are also working with outlets in Nadi, Lautoka and Tavua and will soon have outlets in Rakiraki and Sigatoka with top-quality products.

Vuda Pigs has a farm of over 4,000 pigs.
