It was an emotional day for the villages of Nasoqo and Wainilotulevu in Namosi as they finally have clean water to drink after the officiating of the ecological purification system.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Nasoqo village headman, Rokoqa Waiwaidilo says all these years, the villagers' water source was not good and most of the time they drank water from the creek beside their village.

Waiwaidilo says now with the water tanks being provided, it contributes to their good health by drinking clean water.

He also acknowledged the help from the government in reaching out to them and providing assistance to have safe drinking water that those in the urban areas also benefit from.

Minister for Rural and Maritime Development, Sakiasi Ditoka says this project will help promote good health and reduce the number of diseases due to unclean water. He says $50,000 was used to construct and repair the water system.
