The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side suffered their 3rd consecutive loss at the HSBC SVNS Vancouver 7s after losing 24-19 to Ireland in the 5th place play-off this morning.

The game went into full time with both teams locked at 19-all before Ireland scored a try at extra time to steal the win.

Fiji scored the first try to captain Napolioni Bolaca with the conversion successful before Ireland replied with a converted try to lock the score at 7-all.

Ireland scored a further two tries with one conversion before Fiji came back and locked the game at 19-all with two tries and a conversion as well.

Ireland scored the winning try through Zac Ward.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s ended their Vancouver 7s in sixth place after being demolished by USA 29-7.

France will play NZ in the Women’s Cup final at 12.43pm while Argentina will take on NZ in the Men’s Cup final at 1.23pm today.
