Vancouver 7s: Fiji loses 19-14 to Argentina in cup quarter final

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has lost to Argentina 19-14 in their cup quarter final clash today.

This is the second consecutive time Argentina has beaten Fiji in the playoffs.

Indiscipline cost Fiji the game late in the second half as Rauto Vakadravu was yellow carded for foul play and allowed Argentina to capitalise and score in the corner to steal the win.

Both teams were locked 14-14 at halftime.

Fiji will play in the 5th place semi final at 8.30am tomorrow.

The cup semi finals will kick off at 9.48am tomorrow while the cup final will be at 2.26pm tomorrow.
