Fiji-born Reds lock Serupepeli Uru became the first Queensland lock to score two tries in a Super Rugby match since 1996 in the Reds’ 53-26 win over the Rebels last night.

The last lock to have scored two tries in a match was Garrick Morgan when the Reds played the Blues in 1996.

Uru scored a double in the first half of last night’s encounter, the first was in the 2nd minute of play and the second was in the 30th minute.

Fiji Water Flying Fijians prop Peni Ravai also had his name on the scoresheet last night for the Reds scoring a converted try in the 39th minute.

The Reds scored a total of 8 tries with 5 conversions and a penalty while the Rebels scored 4 tries with 3 conversions.

In other Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific matches last night, the Hurricanes beat the Crusaders 14-10 and Moana Pasifika beat the Western Force 22-14.

Meanwhile, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will play the Chiefs at 6.30 tonight in Hamilton.

In other matches today, the Brumbies are currently playing the Highlanders and the Blues will play the Waratahs at 8.35pm.
