UNICEF will be providing psycho-social training in schools this week.

More than 195,000 students are expected to start school today while more than 13,000 teachers returned to school yesterday.

UNICEF says from this week they will be training teachers in schools in the Northern Division to provide support to children.

They will also provide orientation to parents on the tips to help support their children cope with the stress caused by COVID-19 and Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

UNICEF has provided early childhood development kits, school tents, tarpaulins, and school-in-a-box kits which include books, pencils and teaching materials.
