Two people are counting their lucky stars as they managed to escape unharmed after their vehicle ended up in a river in Lami this morning.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the two were travelling in the car when it is alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle and it ended up in the river.

Naisoro says no one was injured as they got out before the car was submerged in water.
