Fiji Fashion Week draws global attention with record-breaking viewership

Fiji Fashion Week has reached a historic milestone, attracting 12.6 million viewers on facebook and 2.8 million on Instagram during its shows. This was revealed by Managing Director Ellen Whippy-Knight during the official launch of Fiji Fashion Week. Knight says the platform has now surpassed fashion audiences in Australia and New Zealand, highlighting the immense level of support the event continues to receive.

She adds that the strong backing from stakeholders over the past 19 years has been a true blessing, helping elevate Fiji Fashion Week to a level comparable with the globally renowned London Fashion Week in terms of engagement and viewership. Knight says for those who have yet to experience the show, it is a seamless and enjoyable event—purchase a ticket and come along for an unforgettable experience.

She also expressed hope to build on this success, noting that Fiji Fashion Week is now the second most-watched fashion event in the world, behind London Fashion Week. An exciting addition this year is the secondary school category and she urges more students to take part.

The show dates are on May 29th and 30th, October 3rd, November 3rd and December 5th.
