A tough road lies ahead for the Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team in the LA 7s as they are likely to meet either South Africa or New Zealand in the quarter finals.

The Fiji 7s team are runners up of the 2019 tournament where they lost to South Africa 29-24 after leading 19-nil at half time.

With one last tournament before the World Cup Sevens in Cape Town, Fiji 7s coach Ben Gollings says they will take one game at a time and are expecting all teams to be tough considering their level of preparations for the World Cup.

Fiji is in Pool B with Ireland, France and Wales.

South Africa is pooled with New Zealand, USA and Canada in Pool C.

Australia is in Pool A with Argentina, Spain and Japan while Samoa will face England, Scotland and Kenya in Pool D.

The LA 7s will be held on the 28th and 29th of this month.

Meanwhile, the Rugby Sevens World Cup will be held from the 9th to the 11th of September.
