Minnesota Timberwolves have clinched game 4 of the Western Conference Finals after beating Dallas Mavericks 105-100 this afternoon to trail 3-1 in the series and keep their hopes alive of making it to the NBA finals.

The Mavericks wanted to seal the Conference Finals today and book a showdown with the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals, but the Timberwolves denied them that chance.

Timberwolves point guard Anthony Edwards played a man-of-the-match performance scoring 29 points in 40 minutes with 10 rebounds and 9 assists.

The Timberwolves took out the first quarter 27-20, the Mavericks claimed the second quarter 29-22 before the Timberwolves came back and clinched the third quarter 29-24 which proved to be the difference in the game.

Both teams were locked at 27-all in the last quarter.

Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals between the two teams will be at 12.30pm Friday.
