The late Ratu Joji Kadavulevu Cakobau to be laid to rest at chiefly burial ground on Bau

The late Ratu Joji Kadavulevu Cakobau will be laid to rest at the chiefly burial ground which is the Sautabu on the Chiefly Island of Bau this Wednesday.

This has been confirmed by Noa Tabuaca who is Ratu Joji’s Spokesperson from Mokani, Tailevu.

Tabuaca says that Ratu Joji’s children has relayed the message of the funeral to Mokani.

Ratu Joji will be laid to rest alongside his other family members at the chiefly burial ground, including his late father Turaga na Vunivalu, Ratu Joji Kadavulevu Cakobau who was also the last person to hold the title of the Vunivalu which was vacant after he passed away in 1989.

Ratu Joji is his second eldest son and passed away last week after a short illness where he was admitted at the CWM Hospital in Suva.

Meanwhile, Tabuaca also confirmed that the traditional protocol which is the Kumuni-I-Yau will start today in the island of Bau.
