Minister for Youths and Sports, Jese Saukuru commended the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women for their determination and skill on the field, showcasing the talent and passion of the Fijian rugby players in their 25-14 win over the Western Force in the Super Rugby Women’s semi final last night.

Saukuru says their hard work and dedication have paid off, and their victory is a testament to their commitment to excellence.

The Drua Women showcased some classic rugby and sheer pace and determination during the game having the crowd at the HFC Bank Stadium on their feet throughout most parts of the match.

Saukuru has wished the team well and encouraged them to continue giving their all on the field as they turn their focus now to playing the Waratahs in Queensland in the Final of the Super Rugby Women’s competition.

He adds the entire nation is behind them, cheering them on every step of the way and they need to continue to show the world the strength and spirit of Fijian rugby.

The Drua Women will play the Waratahs at 4pm next Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will take on Moana Pasifika at 2.05pm next Saturday at Churchill Park, Lautoka in round 10 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
