The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service confirms that the deadline for new registrations has been extended till midnight Sunday 27th March 2022.

TSLS says those students who are yet to register are encouraged to register first on the TSLS Online Application Portal and then upload the Year 13 results and final offer letter from the preferred higher education institution.

Any student facing difficulty with online application registration is encouraged to visit the TSLS offices for assistance.

TSLS has received 7528 applications so far.

Once a final offer letter from preferred higher education institution is uploaded by a student, TSLS will send its offer letter, bond letter (scholarship) and loan agreement (TELS) to fill and upload.

Based on the completeness of these documents, the confirmation letter will be sent to the student to start the studies.

Meanwhile SODELPA had released a statement this morning that it was very concerned that TSLS had closed applications for Tertiary Education Loan Scheme (TELS) on the midnight of Sunday 20th March, without considering that Year 13 examination results were released on Thursday 17th of March 2022 by the Ministry of Education.

SODELPA Leader, Viliame Gavoka says students from across Fiji could not have made their applications on the Friday, in time, before applications closed midnight Sunday.

Gavoka had said that following the release of these results, many of the successful students had received offer letters from tertiary institutions, which were now in doubt without financial assistance from TELS.
