The third medical team from Australia and New Zealand, Team Charlie will be working closely to support the severely and critically unwell patients.

The Mission Team Leader for ANZMAT Charlie, Bronte Martin says they will be working very closely with the frontline workers to help provide these services.

She says the Fijian health workers have been working extremely hard and tirelessly and it is a very difficult time for all of the Fijian community.

Martin adds their observation is that the teams from Australia and New Zealand have been working well with their Fijian counterparts to tackle the challenges that they are facing.

She further says they will also continue to complement the great work the epidemiology and public health teams are doing to manage the outbreak.

Team Charlie consists of 11 personnel from Australia and New Zealand that will be based in Suva.
