Team Bravo which was the second Australia and New Zealand Medical Assistance Team to arrive in Fiji has returned home after assisting our frontline workers for three weeks.

They arrived in Fiji last month and had been working with the Health Ministry on strengthening infection prevention and control measures at Fiji’s medical centres as well as outlying health facilities in the Central and Western Divisions.

They had brought with them three fully equipped ambulances, 2,000kg of personal protective equipment and medical supplies, 50 stretcher beds and 20 oxygen concentrators.

The team also worked closely with CWM Hospital staff to enhance workforce and operational systems.

They have now handed over to Team Charlie who continue to work on the ground alongside the Fijian health workers.
