Lanky Nadi and Swire Shipping Fijian Drua open side flanker Vilive Miramira is optimistic for a good super rugby season with the Drua and says preparations started 4 weeks ago for the new season.

Miramira who had an outstanding season last year says the players are reporting to the various centers in Suva, Sigatoka, and Nadi to conduct their training and he is looking forward to more competition among the players this season.

He says having French base Joe Tamani back in the squad will bring out the best in them and he looking forward to more healthy competition in camp with the loose forwards.

Miramira says they have a big depth of loose forwards in the team and this will work in their favor in terms of selecting the best forward for national duties. He further stressed he is working on his game fitness and game knowledge which is a big work for him heading into the 2024 /2025 Super Rugby Season.

When questioned by Fijivillage News on his thoughts of not being selected for the Flying Fijian squad for the Pacific Nations Cup, Miramira says he has reviewed his performance and it has motivated him to work on his mistakes and work from it.

With the November tour just around the corner, Miramira hopes he will make the Flying Fijian squad for the November tour if the opportunity presents itself.
