Grammar's Semesa Caginivalu

2023 Coca Cola Games Senior boys Blue Ribbon champion Semesa Caginivalu of Suva Grammar School says he still has some work to do to improve his time after qualifying for the Coca Cola Suva Zone 2 100 metres senior boys final with a time of 11.00 seconds.

The Nakavika, Namosi young man says he was not happy with his performance in the heats and he will look to improve on it in the final later this afternoon.

He says he needs to work on his start off the blocks.

Caginivalu ran a time of 10.90 seconds at the Coke Games final last year that earned him the blue ribbon title.

He says he is aiming to improve his time in this zone final and is looking at clocking a time of 10.22 seconds.

Meanwhile, in the unofficial medal tally provided to fijivillage News by the Zone officials, Marist Brothers High School is currently leading the boys' division with 7 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze, Suva Grammar is second with 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze and Ratu Latianara College is third with 1 gold and 1 bronze.

In the girls' division, Suva Grammar leads with 2 gold and 1 silver, Ratu Latianara College is second with 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze and Saint Joseph's Secondary School is third with 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze.
