The suspect in the Wainiyabia, Navua accident that claimed the lives of three children and a woman earlier this month has been discharged from the hospital.

This has been confirmed by Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro who says he will be brought in for questioning once he is medically cleared.

She says he still has to undergo a medical review.

Naisoro says they cannot tell exactly when he could be brought in for questioning as it depends on the medical clearance by doctors.

Police had earlier said the suspect who is the woman's defacto husband was allegedly driving at a high speed when he failed to negotiate a bend resulting in the unfortunate accident.

They had also found marijuana in the vehicle.
