The South Africa 7s team is hoping they will be able to pick up from where they left off in the Singapore 7s this weekend and further extend their 18-point lead at the top of the standings.

As the fifth of nine tournaments, the Singapore 7s is the midway point of this year’s World 7s Series.

The Blitzboks have won all four tournaments in this series as well as the two before it.

It is more than two years since the South Africa 7s team last tasted defeat in the World 7s Series.

The winning run dates back to Vancouver in March 2020 and amounts to 34 matches.

The Fiji Airways men's national 7s team is in 11th place on the standings.

Fiji will meet Ireland in their first match on Saturday at 2.22pm.

They will then face France at 5.06pm Saturday in their second match and play Japan at 8.22pm Saturday in their final pool match.

You can catch the live commentaries of all of Fiji’s games on our sister station, Viti FM.
