Tertiary student Tanish Mani

Teachers must constantly raise awareness about the effects of social issues such as drugs, peer pressure, and other factors.

This has been highlighted by tertiary student Tanish Mani who was interviewed at Suva Grammar School as he aspires to pursue teacher training.

This interview aims to select passionate and qualified individuals to enroll in a teacher training institute and shape the future of education in Fiji.

Mani says teachers need to be prepared for the challenges of dealing with students and one key issue is the advancement of technology, which brings both opportunities and new challenges.

He says it has been two years since he completed Year 13, and he now plans to continue his studies in tertiary education.

Mani attended Ahmadiyya Muslim College in 2022.

The 22-year-old says he is hoping to be supported by the Tertiary Scholarship Loan Scheme if he qualifies after the interview.

He says both his parents are overseas, but that has not deterred his focus on pursuing a career in teaching.

Mani has enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program, majoring in Industrial Arts at FNU.

More than forty students attended the teacher interview for batch six.

The interview process continue today .
