Several roads are currently affected in the Central, Western and Northern Division due to surface flooding caused by the heavy rain.

A number of roads are still also closed in Navua due to flooding which includes the Waiyanitu Road, Old Queens Road in Wainadoi and Nabukavesi Road.

Ratu Kadavulevu Road from Veisama to Vunivaivai is under water.

FRA has stated that they are closely monitoring the situation of the roads and they are urging the public to remain vigilant.

Flood waters have started to recede in Waidamudamu, Nausori as heavy rain had caused flash flooding in the area earlier today.

There are more than 200 houses in Waidamudamu.

Resident, Umesh Chand has confirmed that the water level which was about 4 to 5 feet high in the morning is receding now.

Some vehicles are still underwater.

Flood waters have also started to recede in Vusuya Road in Nausori.

Thousands of people living in the area were affected this morning by flooding caused by the heavy rain and blocked drains.

Meanwhile, part of the road leading to the Sasawira Settlement in Nausori has been washed away due to the heavy rain.
