Leader of the Opposition of the Group of 16 Bloc, Inia Seruiratu has clarified that they did not boycott the traditional welcome ceremony of the Indian President Droupadi Murmu but they simply did not receive any official invitation from the Government.

While speaking in Parliament this morning, Seruiratu says this has been the case in the three recent visits by the Prime Minister of Australia, Prime Minister of New Zealand, and again yesterday.

Seruiratu says somebody in Foreign Affairs needs to answer to this.

He adds they are equally concerned and disappointed and he needs to raise it.

We are currently trying to get the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sitiveni Rabuka.
