Selection still open for Dubai 7s, Gollings keen to watch 7s team play at Pacific Games

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s head coach Ben Gollings is anticipating a good performance from the players that will be representing Fiji at the Pacific Games 2023 as he works towards selecting his players for the first leg of the 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS Series which will be in Dubai next weekend.

Gollings says selection is still open and he is keen to see how the boys perform at the event.

He says they do have some challenges off the field but they are jumping through the hurdles.

The Fiji 7s side to the Pacific Games is coached by former national 7s and Flying Fijians winger Sireli Bobo.

The Fiji Men’s first game will be against American Samoa at 10.24pm this Thursday before they take on Kiribati at 3.12pm Friday in their second pool match.

The Championship semi final will kick off at 2.24pm Saturday and the Final will be at 9pm Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will take on Wallis and Futuna at 6.24pm this Thursday in their first pool match.

They will then play the Solomon Islands at 1.12pm Friday before playing the Cook Islands at 6.12pm Friday in their final pool match.

The Women’s Championship semi final will kick off at 12pm Saturday and the final will be at 8.12pm Saturday.
