Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s head coach Ben Gollings

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s head coach Ben Gollings says Samoa and France are currently having scrimmage sessions in Fiji before heading over to Dubai for the first leg of the HSBC SVNS festival.

Gollings says they have a squad of 30 players in camp and they have split them up into two teams to play at the Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands and the Oceania Sevens in Australia before selecting the final squad for the Dubai 7s.

He says the team’s preparation for the upcoming tournament is on a roll and the coaching teams have been focusing on several things like the connection between the players.

They also have spent time looking at new talents and scouting around.
