SODELPA postpones AGM to next Friday due to lack of quorum

SODELPA postpones AGM to next Friday due to lack of quorum

The SODELPA Annual General Meeting has been postponed to next Friday 30th June, on the same date as the National Budget announcement, due to a lack of quorum today.

Party Leader Viliame Gavoka says they were expecting 100 people to turn up today but only 80 people showed up so the decision had to be made for the postponement.

He says the support is still strong for the party and it is just a bit awkward for most people since it is held on a Saturday.

Gavoka says moving the AGM to next Friday will be like a celebration for the party to see what the budget is going to show in terms of what they believe in and also the manifesto of the party.

The SODELPA AGM will be held at 2pm next Friday.
