SODELPA has handed over more than $11,000 to the Fiji Cancer Society after their Pinktober Event last week.

Party Vice President and SODELPA MP, Ro Teimumu Kepa has thanked the donors both in Fiji and overseas for their contribution.

SODELPA MP, Simione Rasova says they will also be organising a fundraising event in conjunction with Suva Golden Oldies Rugby Club to raise funds for Movember later this month.

Fiji Cancer Society President Makrava Wilson says they have been able to commit more than $10,000 for 36 cancer surgical procedures since December last year.

Wilson says he is grateful for the support provided to the Society by SODELPA.

He is urging everyone to come for a check up as early detection saves lives.
