Christmas came early for the residents of the HART Homes along the Suva Nausori corridor as the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset distributed 100 Christmas Food Hampers, valued at approximately $6,000.
The Christmas Food Hampers consist of essential food items and a Christmas Cake.
Club President Jason Chandra says this annual initiative aims to provide essential food items to those members of our community in need.
He says with the tradition spanning over two decades, the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset also undertakes a similar initiative during Diwali, where they reached out to HART Home recipients with essential food items.
Chandra acknowledged the generosity and financial contributions of their members to this noble cause, believing that these collective efforts can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in our community.
He says they believe that through their modest efforts, they can make a meaningful contribution to the lives of people in the community.
