Residents in the Vugalei District, especially in the villages of Naimasimasi and Nadaro, are being urged to take extra caution due to heavy flooding in the area.
The National Disaster Risk Management Office says persistent heavy rain has caused severe flooding, submerging many main roads and making them unsafe to use.
Drivers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution when approaching or travelling through flooded areas.
The NDMO has also warned that movement in and out of the area may be restricted, as police are on the ground managing traffic and ensuring public safety.
People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and follow all official updates and instructions from the NDMO and other relevant authorities.
